Ocean freight — FCL and LCL
Move containerised cargo across global trade lanes with live carrier rates, electronic documentation, and real-time visibility — from booking to delivery.
FCL — Full Container Load
For shippers who fill an entire container, MoloChain supports the three industry-standard equipment types: 20FT standard, 40FT standard, and 40HC (high-cube). Quotations include base freight per container, origin and destination port charges where applicable, the rate currency, and a validity period.
LCL — Less than Container Load
For shipments that do not fill a full container, LCL pricing is calculated on the chargeable weight or volume basis (whichever is greater). Provide the cargo's gross weight in kilograms and total volume in cubic metres, and the pricing engine returns consolidated rates from forwarders running matching consolidation services on the lane.
Documentation and tracking
Once a booking is confirmed, MoloChain's OTMS generates the supporting documents — bookings, bills of lading (both House BL and Master BL), delivery orders, and arrival notices — and links them all to a single job number. Container status is updated automatically from carrier feeds where available, and milestone notifications can be sent to the customer at booking, departure, in-transit, arrival, customs clearance, and delivery events.
Compliance
MoloChain's ocean freight operations align with the international conventions published by the International Maritime Organization (IMO), including SOLAS verified gross mass requirements and IMDG handling for dangerous goods.
